Rail Dowel

A rail plastic dowel, also known as a rail plastic sleeve, plastic insert, concrete dowel, or concrete insert, serves as a counterpart fastener to a screw spike or anchor bolt. It is pre-embedded into the concrete or wooden sleeper and is installed alongside screw spikes, guide plates, and rail clips to secure the rail tracks.

Rail dowels must be pre-inserted into the concrete sleepers prior to the assembly of the rail fastening system components. In conjunction with screw spikes or bolts, rail dowels firmly secure the rail fastening system to the concrete sleepers and rails.
