Railroad Clip
Railroad Clip
Railroad clips are utilized to secure the rails to the base plate and concrete sleepers. Typically, these clips are crafted from spring steel through a hot forging process. These clips have the high strength to withstand the vibration of rails. Signum Machinery offers a wide array of rail clips of the highest quality, precision-engineered and constructed from top-grade spring steel. With rich experience in producing rail clips, we can tailor rail clips to meet specific needs.
Raw Material for Railroad Clips
Railroad clips are made from high-quality spring steel bars. Spring steel is used in the manufacture of springs and other elastic parts, prominently in automotive and industrial suspension applications. These steels are generally low-alloy manganese, medium-carbon steel, or high-carbon steel with very high yield strength. Spring steel has excellent comprehensive performance, including mechanical properties, bullet-proof performance, fatigue resistance, hardenability, and physical and chemical properties. The raw materials for elastic railroad clips mostly include 55Si7, 60Si7, 65Si7, 55SiCr7, 60Si2MnA, 60Si2CrA, 55Si2Mn, and 38Si7 grades of spring steel.

Inspection and packaging
After receiving the PO from customers, we will buy spring steel bars from name-brand steel factories. Before heating, we will cut the bar to an expected length. Then the cutted bars will be heated to 950-1000 degree centigrade for forming by punching press machine. Then they will be transfer to the heat treatment workshop. After the inspection to ensure the hardness achieved, clips will be coated as per customers' needs, such as plain oil, painting, HDG, zinc plating, etc.
Quality Control of Railroad Clip
Our professional inspection team oversees each step of the production line to ensure the highest standards. We implement stringent testing and complete authentication at every stage of manufacturing rail clips, supported by a comprehensive quality control system that extends from raw material procurement to the final packaging of the rail clips.
