• Common Rail Weights: Varies depending on application. Main tunnels generally require heavier tracks (e.g., 30 kg/m or above), while inclined tunnels and working areas can use lighter profiles (e.g., 18 kg/m to 22 kg/m).

• Common Gauges: Narrow gauge tracks are standard in coal mines to fit confined spaces, with 600mm, 762mm, and 900mm being the most prevalent. 

• Key Properties: High wear-resistance and yield strength (materials like 55Q or U71Mn) are necessary to handle 5 to 10-ton electric locomotives and fully loaded mine carts.
